Conference Schedule
The FAIE Annual Conference features two days of activities for international educators.
Thursday – PreConference Workshops
Pre-conference workshops will be held on Thursday, February 20, and require an additional registration separate from the main conference. Workshops will run from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Registration costs $350 and includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks/coffee throughout the day.
This year, we will offer the following workshops:
- F-1 Student Advising for Beginners
- F-1 Student Advising: Intermediate
- J-1 Advising for Beginners
- Education Abroad: Critical Skills for the Adviser
Workshop descriptions can be found on the NAFSA Core Education Program website. Please note that workshops are subject to cancellation based on enrollment. We encourage you to register by the January 10th early bird deadline! We will notify all registrants by January 14th if there is any change to our scheduled workshops.
Thursday/Friday – Main Conference
Main conference activities will begin on Thursday afternoon with a Featured Session or Campus Tour from the USF International Ed team (activity TBD), and an Opening Reception in the evening.
Friday 2/21 will be a full day of sessions, the FAIE general body meeting, and a post-conference happy hour.

Submit a Proposal
We are Accepting Session Proposals
The 2025 FAIE Conference will have multiple blocks of concurrent breakout sessions. We are soliciting proposals in the areas of:
- Student/Scholar Advising
- Education Abroad
- Admissions
- TESOL/English Language Programs
- Community Programming
- K-12
- Topics of Shared Interest
Submission Deadline: November 22, 2024
We encourage you to consider presenting a session! Please use the link below to access the proposal form. You are welcome to submit more than one proposal. FAIE encourages collaboration among schools.
This year, FAIE will offer a discounted conference registration rate of $200 for all accepted presenters!

The main conference on Friday will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa USF.
We will post special rates from additional nearby hotels soon.

Conference Grant
Need some help funding your trip to the FAIE Annual Conference? Apply for a grant to cover the cost of your conference registration!
Applications are due by December 16, 2024. If you have any questions, contact the FAIE Awards and Grants Coordinator, Randolph Scott, at rscott1@uwf.edu.
You Made a World of Difference Award
Do you know an outstanding international educator? Recognize their achievements by nominating them for the You Made a World of Difference Award! This award was first established in 2007 to honor an individual who has made a meaningful contribution to the field of international education.
The deadline to submit a nomination is January 3, 2025. If you have any questions, contact the FAIE Awards and Grants Coordinator, Randolph Scott, at rscott1@uwf.edu.
