FAIE Professional Mentorship Program
As FAIE continues its efforts to encourage the sharing of knowledge among Florida international educators, we are delighted to announce our new initiative to bring together professionals to promote collaboration and cooperation across the field and their institutions.
The purpose of the FAIE Professional Mentorship Program is to further professional development and encourage networking throughout the state matching international educators to share experiences, discuss best practices, and explore challenges and successes in the field.
This is a one-year long program that will start after our FAIE Conference in February 2020, and will conclude during the following state conference where mentors and mentees will share their experience.
Through this program, mentors and mentees will have the opportunity to:
- Meet and generate a formal/informal plan of their activities for the year during the 2020 FAIE Conference in Gainesville.
- Communicate at least once a month during the year and share experiences, challenges, and new knowledge either virtually, or through in person visits to their respective institutions to explore new ideas and learn from each other
- Share their experiences with the FAIE Professional Mentorship Program during the 2021 FAIE Conference to encourage all international educations in Florida to continue cooperating through this program
