Video Contest Guidelines

The purpose of the FILC 2022 Video Contest Guideline is to foster relationships among attendees pre/post-conference attendance by highlighting their educational objectives, experiences, and leadership development for the conference.

This is meant to be a fun and global educational experience for participants to remember their FILC attendance, show their school spirit, and promote friendship and networking among attendees. This is not a required activity but it is highly encouraged.

Rules & Guidelines:

  1. All entries must be submitted in digital format via Instagram and/or Facebook as a post by tagging our page (We can only select one engagement to award).


  2. All entries must either be submitted in English or, if in another language, include English subtitles.
  3. Students must work together in attending groups with Advisors.
    1. You may reach out to past FILC participants (must include their year of attendance on the video).
  4. The length of the video should not exceed 60 seconds (one minute), not including the 5-second title screen. ONLY ONE ENTRY PER INSTITUTION.
  5. All entries should begin with a 5-second full-screen “title screen” that includes the following information:
    1. Institution name and title “FILC Experience”
    2. Full name of participants
    3. Title of video
  6. No copyrighted materials (music, images, video clips, etc.) may be used for this contest unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest. Written permission must be obtained and provided upon request for all copyrighted materials.
  7. Participants must abide by FILC guidelines and camp CloverLeaf rules while filming the video.
  8. The judges’ (audience) decision is final. The winning institution videos will be announced through the FILC social media accounts and website.
  9. The only compensation for submitting a video is the opportunity to be awarded a prize if the entry wins.
  10.  MAKE IT YOUR OWN! Be creative and have fun.
  11. Deadline of online submission: February 25th, 2022
  12.  Winners will be announced no later than Thursday, March 31, 2022


The winning institution with the most likes and shares (online interactions) will receive the following:

  1. An end of the semester Ice Cream and/or Pizza Party for the FILC Participants and Advisor hosted by the  Florida Association of International Educators (FAIE)
  2. FAIE conference fee waived for an Advisor.
