FILC Participant Agreement Form
As an attendee of FILC, you are expected to know and comply with the rules of Camp Geneva and FILC. Carefully read all of the rules below. Click the boxes at the bottom of the page and sign to confirm you understand the rules and are willing to follow them. Report any issues to Laura Pitois or Ana Chaviano immediately.

CABINS

  • I am to bring my own bedding, pillow and blanket.
  • Cabin quiet hours are 10:00pm – 7:30am. If you are in your cabin between these hours, be mindful of others and keep noise to a minimum.
  • Cabin furniture must not be rearranged due to fire code regulations.
  • Friends may visit your cabin outside of quiet hours, but no overnight guests.

PREVENTING SPREAD OF ILLNESS

  • Wash hands regularly throughout the duration of the conference.
  • Use hand sanitizer regularly throughout the duration of the conference.
  • Notify Laura Pitois or Ana Chaviano immediately if you become ill during the conference.

TARDINESS

  • Attendees are expected to be on time for all meals, sessions, and other conference events.

PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF

  • Place trash in garbage cans. Do not leave trash in the grass, fire pit, or tabletops.
  • If you move other things, like picnic tables, move them back when you are done.
  • We are all responsible for keeping the camp tidy. We hope that you, as leaders, will help clean, whenever you see that help is needed.
    REMEMBER: You are at a campground. We do not want to attract creatures from the woods!

WILDLIFE

  • Do not touch or approach wildlife.
  • Do not disrupt wildlife by making noises, throwing things, blocking a path, etc.
  • Do not feed wildlife. Although well-intentioned, it is bad for their health.

ALCOHOL AND ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES

  • No consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs.

NOTE: If you are found to violate this policy, your advisor will be notified and the necessary actions will be taken on-site and/or on at your home campus in accordance with your home institution’s conduct policy.

EQUIPMENT/USE OF LAKE

  • Only use canoes during designated free time on Saturday afternoon.
  • Only swim in the presence of a lifeguard. Follow the lifeguard’s instructions.
  • Everyone must wear a life vest when using a canoe.

FIRE PIT

  • Do not leave trash of any kind in the fire pit.
  • The fire pit is the only place for a fire.

SMOKING

  • No smoking on the premises. Camp Geneva is a smoke-free facility.
  • If you must smoke, you must go to the front gate of the camp. This is the only designated smoking area.

CONSERVE ENERGY

  • Please turn off all lights and water faucets when not in the buildings.
  • Keep the classroom clean and organized. No bullying or disruptive behavior.
