The 2023 FAIE Conference will have multiple blocks of concurrent breakout sessions. We are soliciting proposals in the areas of student/scholar advising, study abroad, admissions, TESOL/English Language Programs, community programming, K-12, and those which are of shared interest. We encourage you to consider presenting a session. Please use this form to submit a specific proposal. You are welcome to submit more than one proposal. FAIE encourages collaboration among schools.

Online Conference Registration has ended

If you would still like to attend the FAIE Conference but didn’t register, you can do so at the conference – we will accept checks or on-site card payments. The cost to attend a pre-conference workshop on Thursday, February 23rd is $275. Registration for the main conference on Friday, February 24th is $200.

Pre-Conference Workshops

On Thursday, February 23rd, FAIE offers day-long, in-person Pre-Conference Workshops led by NAFSA trainers. Each workshop costs $275, which can be added to your conference registration or purchased separately. Click on the workshop titles below for more information about each one.

Workshop enrollment includes copy of NAFSA manual, certificate of completion, and breakfast and lunch.

Program and Schedule:

The FAIE Annual Conference features two days of activities for international educators. The first day, Thursday 2/23 will include our Pre-Conference Workshops during the day and Opening Reception in the evening. Friday 2/24 will be a full day of Conference sessions, our keynote speaker presentation, the FAIE general body meeting, and a post-conference happy hour. You can view or download the program below.

2023 Keynote Speaker:

P. Barry Butler, Ph.D.
President, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

In 2017, P. Barry Butler became the sixth president of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Under his presidency, Embry-Riddle continues to expand discovery-driven degree programs and its research park is home to new aerospace patents, technology transfer, and startups. Butler has encouraged collaboration with industry, resulting in expedited hiring initiatives with leading aviation and aerospace industries. He is expanding the university’s interest in aviation cybersecurity, aviation data analytics, and autonomous vehicles. The university also created new partnerships to prime the aviation/aerospace pipeline.

As a strong advocate for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, Butler supports a dual-enrollment program with the Aerospace Career Academy. The institute offers more than 40 university courses to students in 84 Florida high schools. At the Arizona Campus, the STEM Education Center serves as a hub of enrichment for students, faculty, researchers, and the community.
