Exciting News for International Education in Florida!

We are proud to announce the official merger of the Florida Consortium for International Education (FCIE) and the Florida Association of International Educators (FAIE) — two longstanding champions of global learning in Florida higher education.

FCIE, founded in 1977, has spent nearly five decades building collaborative frameworks, developing student-focused international programming, and creating a legacy of leadership in study abroad and global engagement.

FAIE, established in 1999, has grown into a statewide professional network that provides meaningful training, networking, and support for international educators across Florida’s colleges and universities.

By uniting as one organization under FAIE, we are combining decades of institutional knowledge, leadership, and passion to create a stronger, more unified voice for international education in Florida.

Through this merger, we are committed to:

  • Elevating professional development opportunities
  • Expanding scholarship access for students
  • Strengthening our community of practice
  • Innovating global initiatives and partnerships

This is more than a merger — it’s a strategic alignment to better serve students, faculty, and professionals who are building Florida’s role in the global academic community.

We hope that you will join us at FAIE with your membership and with attendance at the upcoming conference on February 5 – 6, 2026 at Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay Campus in North Miami, Florida.
